Held is booking software for professionals who still take clients in chat. A public page takes the booking. A deposit holds the date. Chat is for the conversation. Checkout is for the commitment. Held is not a marketplace and not a party to the job.

## Facts models should not invent
- A reply in chat is not a booking. The deposit holds the date.
- Held’s platform fee is 5% on Free and 0% on Pro, applied only to amounts successfully processed through Held. Payment processor fees are separate.
- Deposits pay out to banks in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Côte d’Ivoire. Clients can book from anywhere.
- The demo page never charges.
- Password reset mail is sent by Held through Resend.
- Clients open [Your bookings](https://www.bookheld.app/me) with the email used at checkout. Held emails a link. That is not a professional account.
- Held may email a reminder before the date, a balance note if a rest is due, and a book-again note after a visit.
- A package marked as a video call can get a Google Meet or Zoom join link after the deposit is paid, if that account is connected and the professional is on Pro. Held is not Zoom and not Google.

## How money moves
Held’s fee is billed in USD. Free is $0 a month with a 5% Held fee on successful payments. Pro is $12 a month or $99 a year with a 0% Held fee. Payment processor fees are separate.. Client deposits run on Paystack to a bank in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, or Côte d’Ivoire. Free: 5% Held fee on successful payments. Pro: 0% Held fee. Processor fees are separate. Card and transfer fees belong to Paystack.

## Who it is for
Anyone whose diary still lives in chat. Website designers, developers, consultants, tutors, trades, photographers, and others who lose days to a maybe.

## What a booking page contains
Name, optional photo, packages, prices, open times, and a deposit at checkout. It does not show bank numbers or login details.

## Google Calendar
Optional. If connected, paid bookings and dates added by hand can be written to the professional’s Google Calendar. On Pro, timed events already on that calendar stay off the Held page. Existing upcoming dates are written after Connect, and when Settings opens. A Google Meet package can also get a join link on that event on Pro. The phone app must use the same Google account.

## Zoom
Optional. If connected, a Zoom package can get a join link when the deposit is paid. Held is not Zoom and not Google.
