Professionals were spending their days negotiating bookings in chat. A yes in WhatsApp still was not a booking.
The problem
“Are you free Saturday?” “Yes.” “Okay, I’ll confirm.” Then nothing. The professional had already protected the time. The client had not committed to it.
Held was built to make that commitment simple. Choose a service. Choose a time. Pay a deposit. Hold the date.
What Held believes
A reply in chat is not a booking. Chat is for the conversation. Checkout is for the commitment. Do not block the time for a maybe.
What Held is
Booking software for professionals who sell their time. You get one public page for services, prices, availability, and a deposit. Held Software Limited builds and operates it. The product name is Held. RC 9797907. Registered in Nigeria.
Held’s fee: Free is $0 a month with a 5% Held fee on successful payments. Pro is $12 a month or $99 a year with a 0% Held fee. Payment processor fees are separate.
What Held is not
Not a marketplace. Not an employer. Not a bank. Not a payment company. You bring the client. You keep the booking. Client deposits go through Paystack to the professional’s bank. Held does not hold that money as escrow and is not a party to the job.
Where Held is available
Held is currently available to professionals in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Côte d’Ivoire. Clients can book from anywhere. We launch where payments work reliably, then expand from there.
