What is Held?

Held is booking software by Held Software Limited. Professionals get one public page. Clients choose a service, pick a time, and pay a deposit. Held is not a marketplace and not a payment company.

Is a chat reply a booking?

No. The date is held when the deposit is paid through checkout.

Can I try Held without a subscription?

Yes. Free has no monthly charge and a 5% Held fee on successful payments. Pro is $12 a month or $99 a year with a 0% Held fee. Open the live example. It cannot take a real deposit. Your own page can, after a bank is on file.

Does Held take a commission?

Held’s platform fee is 5% on Free and 0% on Pro. Free is $0 a month with a 5% Held fee on successful payments. Pro is $12 a month or $99 a year with a 0% Held fee. Payment processor fees are separate. The deposit is yours. Card and transfer fees belong to Paystack.

Where does the deposit go?

Clients pay through Paystack. Funds go to your bank in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, or Côte d’Ivoire. Held does not hold job money as escrow.

Why hasn’t a deposit arrived?

Stay on the success page and refresh once. If it still is not locked, write to hello@bookheld.app from the checkout email with the payment reference. Do not send a second payment until we reply.

The page will not take a deposit

You need a payout bank in a supported country, at least one package, and open availability. The demo never charges.

Reschedule or cancel

Clients use the manage link in confirmation mail while that is still allowed. The deposit stays with the professional unless you both agree otherwise outside Held.

Client did not show

The deposit already settled to you. Mark the visit as did not show in your dashboard. Held does not refund that deposit.

Client reviews and ratings

After you mark a visit complete, Held may email the client a private link to leave a 1 to 5 star rating and a short comment. Verified reviews can appear on your public page with an average rating (for example 4.9 from 24 reviews). One review per completed booking.

Open Your bookings and enter the email used at checkout. We email a link. No password. The same link is in the mail after you pay.

Reminders

Held emails before the date. If a balance is still due, we email again. Email reminders are on Free and Pro. WhatsApp reminders and book again notes are on Pro.

Google Calendar

Settings → Calendars → Connect Google. Paid bookings and hand added dates can land on that calendar. On Pro, timed events already on that calendar stay off your Held page so clients cannot double book.

Zoom

Held is not Zoom. Held asks Zoom for a join link after a deposit is paid. Connect in Settings → Calendars. Mark a package as a video call and pick Zoom. Join links are on Pro. Disconnect in Held Settings and, if needed, remove Held in the Zoom App Marketplace.

Forgot password

Use Reset password. We email a link to the address on the account.

Bank not verifying

Use the same name on the Held page as on the bank account. Nigeria accounts need a matching NUBAN. If Paystack rejects the bank, fix the number and save again. Write to hello@bookheld.app if it still fails after one correct save.
